Refund Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains when the verification fee charged by Rented Ltd (“Rented”, “we”, “us”) is refundable. Placeholder company details: Rented Ltd, 123 Example Street, London, UK / New York, USA.

1. What the fee covers

The verification fee pays for the work our team does to qualify your enquiry and match you with suitable properties. It is a service fee and is not rent, a deposit, or a payment toward any property.

2. When you can get a refund

You are entitled to a full refund if you request one within 14 days of payment and before we have begun matching work on your enquiry. You are also entitled to a full refund if we are unable to provide the service, or in the case of a duplicate or erroneous charge.

3. When the fee is non-refundable

Once our team has started qualifying your enquiry and contacting partners or agents on your behalf, the fee is generally non-refundable, because the service has been delivered. As stated in our Terms, the fee does not guarantee any specific property or a successful tenancy, so a refund is not available simply because you did not rent a particular home.

4. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email us at billing@rented.example with the name and email used on your application. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
